Alfa Perro is based on the simple concept of ‘care’.
Working around the idea of ‘themes variations’, the wollen textiles, manufactured by the historical Lanificio Paoletti located in Follina, with which Alfa Perro shares an exclusive working collaboration, are declined and crafted into a small range of women’s coats and overcoats reminding of the gent’s outerwear archetypes such as the sack overcoat, the coat and the cloak.
To emphasize the nature of the materials Alfa Perro uses a subdued language.
It does it in a way quite typical of the most traditional men’s dressing sensibility, by intervening on reference patterns and acting specifically in terms of altering and exasperating proportions and details.
The project, drawing from the Italian tailoring and woven manufacturing tradition – all items are cut by hand and then handcrafted one by one – tries to focus on a street-tailoring sensibility aimed to respect the aesthetic codes of the wearer. Alfa Perro puts forward an independent sort of rhythm, not at all anchored to the changing of the seasons, paying attention to geographical variables, by acting on the weight of the fabrics.
